The RT-746 thermal radiation flame propagation tester can evaluate the performance of rigid and elastic materials with a thickness exceeding 5mm. It is developed according to the French standard NFP92-501 for fire resistance testing of building materials and railway vehicles. The principle of the test is to apply 30KW/m2 thermal radiation to the sample, which may cause the sample to emit flammable gases and trigger the combustion of volatile gases. At the same time, the flame propagation state is observed, and data that can be used to estimate the heat release is collected through the combustion of the material. Applicable to the radiation test method for fire resistance performance of materials used in railway vehicles.
