Fabric Water Repellency Spray Tester (RT-828A)
RT-828A Fabric Wettability Tester
A specified volume of distilled or fully deionized water is sprayed on a test specimen that has been mounted on a ring and placed at an angle of 45″ so that the centre of the specimen is at a specified distance below the spray nozzle. The spray rating is determined by comparing the appearance of the specimen with descriptive standards and photographs.

Scope of application
1. RT-828A is suitable for any textile fabrics, regardless of whether it has been done water repellency performance treatment. RT-828A can determine the water wettability of fabrics, especially suitable for water repellency performance treatment of textiles, especially plain woven fabrics.
2. Due to this instrument’s simplicity and portability, the test program is relatively simple, making RT-828A especially suitable for factory product testing. However, because the RT-828A can not determine the performance of water beads penetrated into the fabric, it is recommended not to be used to assess the waterproof fabrics’ rain penetration performance.
3. RT-828A test results with fibers, yarns and fabrics finishing the initial water repellency and wettability, and the structure of the fabric has little to do.
